Walker went to the Germantown Friends School located in Philadelphia's Germantown, where she received the diploma in 1994. In 1998, Walker earned the bachelor's degree in the field of education at Harvard College. Welker is engaged to John Hughes a well-known marketing director for Merck at Philadelphia and the couple has two children. In 2014, they started being involved in an affair. John is husband to her.
