Anna Silk was born at St. Thomas University in Fredericton, New Brunswick Canada. She is the daughter of Peter Silk - an academic and Ilkay Silk, a gifted actor who is also a director, writer and producer. Anna was born in Fredericton, being the daughter of the couple Peter Silk and Ilkay Silk. Her mother is a "English-Turkish Cypriot expat" who hails originally from Britain. Anna remembers attending performances for her plays as a child and watching her mom working. At the beginning of her career Anna was a part of a variety of commercials for television. Anna relocated from Toronto in 1999 to Los Angeles in 1999. Seth Cooperman and Anna met in Los Angeles in 2007, in an acting workshop. They were engaged by 2009 when they were married. Anna began her journey to becoming a Jewish woman in 2011, after she converted to Judaism. The couple was weddings in the month of December that year and then renewed their vows at the Jewish ceremony in Fredericton the month of April in 2011.
