Anna Paquin

Anna Paquin has been an actor in Canada and New Zealand for over a decade. Born in Winnipeg and was raised in Wellington Paquin was able to make her acting debut as Flora McGrath in the romantic drama film The Piano for which she won the Academy Award for Best Supporting Actress at the age of 11, and was the 2nd youngest recipient of the award in Oscar history. Anna Paquin's full title is Anna Helene Paquin. Born on July 24, 1982, in Winnipeg Manitoba Canada, she was a Canadian born New Zealand actress. As as a young girl, she was awarded an Academy Award for best support actress. Paquin moved to New Zealand from Canada as a little girl and grew there. The role of Flora McGrath - the daughter of a Scottish muffle pianist in New Zealand at mid-19th Century was a part she won after she participated in an audition open to all. In her twenties the actress had no experience acting. When she was in her teens, the actress made the move to America. Paquin was chosen to play the role of the child in Franco Zeffirelli's Jane Eyre in the year 1996. Also, she was an important role on the screen in Fly Away Home, a film from the year. Paquin had a small role in the television movie of 1997 adaption to Carson McCullers' novel The Member of the Wedding. The actress also played the Princess of Spain in Steven Spielberg's Amistad (2007). The actress played teens in the films of Hurlyburly (1998), She's All That (2000), A Walk on the Moon (2000) and played in the role of character of the polexia Aphrodisa girl on the screen in Almost Famous (2000).
